lyrics

I had a dream that I bought cocaine
Spent an hour tryna find out where to hide it
Took that instead Adderall cause I couldn’t find a doctor to prescribe it
So I could do print me some posters and immediately spill all over them
Should I throw em in the trash or hand em out for free?
Every man is an island
’Til u find somewhere you can land
Within someones else’s arms who feels the same
But you gotta treat each other justly
And we’re only human thusly
Most everybody’s gonna find themselves in pain

If I could just get a little Adderall
I could be more privy to a hard fall
Let motivation try ta pick apart my brain
Gonna spend my money on distraction
Though enlightenment is the attraction
You never really want it and it’s hard to quit the game
So I guess that’s what my dreams have been tellin’ me
But come on God I write so well and
Why can’t I just be happy with the same?

My ego is an ego addict
So my soul needs a sole sabbatical one a week or so to keep up with it's pace
But when I over do my chocolate, and coffee, and sugar and alcohol
At least I know I’d like to feel my face

So doc if I could just get a little Adderall
I could do more work, I could make the calls
To, stoke waves and preoccupy the pain
Gonna idolize a distraction
Try to cure my fears with action.
Most folks who make it fully know it’s just a game
But I guess that’s what my dreams are tellin’ me
Nothin’ to do with gettin’ a felony
Sometimes I need this music to keep me sane
